Supervised Visitation

SUPERVISED VISITATION is a process in which the interaction between a non-custodial parent and child/ children may safely occur in the presence of a neutral third party that is responsible for observing.

Professional Supervised Visitation Monitor

A PROFESSIONAL SUPERVISED VISITATION MONITOR is a neutral third party that is responsible for facilitating supervised visitation. The professional supervised visitation monitor does exchanges at the beginning and end of visits so that the two parties, custodial and non-custodial, do not interact. Additionally, the monitor is always with the child and non-custodial parent throughout the entire supervised visit.

Court Order

COURT ORDER refers to an official proclamation by a judge regarding court proceedings. Such a ruling requires or authorizes the carrying out of certain steps by one or more parties to a case. 

Custodial Parent

CUSTODIAL PARENT refers to the party (biological parent, legal guardian, state agency) that has legal custody of the child.

Non-Custodial Parent

NON-CUSTODIAL PARENT refers to the party (biological parent or other adult) that is authorized to have contact with the child through a court order (or other order). The non-custodial parent is also known as the visiting parent.

Minor Child

MINOR CHILD refers to the party (child or children) in which supervised visitations with non-custodial parent are facilitated for.
